Statement
I migrated from India in 1978 with a bachelors in English Literature and Philosophy from Bombay University and seven years of undergraduate work in art, ending with an Associate Degree from RMCAD. I am a multi-media artist in mid-career, having shown since 1985 in India, Denver, New York, Aspen and Santa Fe. For three decades I did non-representational mixed-media paintings inspired by the concept of Brahman in Indian philosophy. A decade ago, I turned my attention to painting rock formations of the Colorado Plateau. I am currently experimenting with recycled inner tubes as a two- and three-dimensional medium.
